In 2001 Wendy moved back to Toronto after living and working in Amsterdam for 20 years. As a trained professional Classical musician herself, playing the French Horn, she was principal horn of the Amsterdam Opera Company Orchestra, as well as gigged with countess Orchestras in Holland and Canada.
Wendy has worked as an arts manager and producer and produced 100’s of concerts, festivals and events in Toronto and the GTA. She has built up a vast and extensive Data Base of performers, all professional, such as Jazz combos/trios/soloists, Classical chamber music ensembles/quartets/soloists, Vocal jazz combos, Light pop bands, Multicultural Ethnic Folkdance ensembles, Solo Dance/Ballet/Folk/Classic Ballroom, Comedians, Key Note Speakers, Emcees and DJ’s. Wendy has also designed countless websites for musicians over the years, and is now busy updating her present clients with HTML, Joomla or WordPress based websites.
She has been Executive Director of several Arts organizations, such as the Amici Chamber Ensemble, Aradia Ensemble, Scarborough Philharmonic, Orchestra Toronto , The Community Folk Art Council of Toronto and the Toronto Entertainment Management Group.
An accomplished classical horn player, Wendy has performed with the Kitchener Waterloo Symphony , the Niagara Symphony, and the Toronto Symphony Orchestra. As a chamber musician she has performed with the Toronto Chamber Orchestra, Amici Chamber Ensemble and Network Winds. Wendy is also Executive Director of the Community Folk Arts Council of Toronto.
